July 4 Independence Day Celebration 10am Celebrate Independence Day at the Mount Airy Museum of Regional History! The Mount Airy Museum of Regional History is delighted to join the Downtown Business Association for the annual Fourth of July celebration. In keeping with the Revolutionary Spirit of 1776, Mike Lowe will read the Declaration of Independence in the Museum's Courtyard at 10am. Please attend and help us recognize and celebrate the freedom we enjoy as Americans. The downtown Mount Airy 4th of July Parade will follow at 11am.

The 4th of July Parade starts at 11 a.m. in Downtown Mount Airy. Before the parade, attend a reading of the Declaration of Independance in the courtyard of the Mount Airy Museum of Regional History starting at 10 a.m. After the parade will be a pie eating contest for charity in the parking lot/park at the corner of Oak and Main. Call Miss Angel's Heavenly Pies to sign up for the pie eating contest (lots of prizes!). There will also be a bounce house and dunking booth.
Starting at 6 p.m. is music and entertainment at Veterans Memorial Park on West Lebanon Street in Mount Airy, with fireworks at dark.
