The Dobson Cruise- IN, "Cruiz-N-The Square" will take place in Downtown Dobson beginning in May and running through October. Each event will be from 3:00PM until 9:00PM and feature live music at Dobson Square Park from 6:00PM until 9:00PM with food trucks and vendors on site.

The Elkin Cruise-In happens on the 4th Sunday of each month (March–November, excluding July) from 2PM–5PM at the Yadkin Valley Heritage & Trails Center.

Join us for a magical Christmas parade, where the spirit of the season shines brightly! Celebrate with us and enjoy a festive display of holiday cheer and catch a glimpse of Santa Claus! ​​ The parade will leave from Veterans Park at 5:00 PM and travel down W. Lebanon Street to N. Main and through Downtown Mount Airy.

Grab your running shoes and experience the festive town of Mount Airy this Christmas season at the 19th annual Rosy Cheeks 5K. Sponsored by Mount Airy Parks and Recreation, the race takes place on Dec. 12 at 9 am. The course follows the scenic Ararat River Greenway, with the starting line positioned just past the Riverside Park trailhead. A free Fun Run for kids occurs immediately after the 5K. All participants are asked to bring an unwrapped toy, gift, or gift card for an elementary school-age, middle school-age, or high school-age child. These will be donated to the Mount Airy Police Department Toy Drive.
