Downtown Mount Airy Christmas Parade

The Annual Yadkin Valley Christmas Parade (also known as the Jonesville/Elkin Christmas Parade) takes place on the second Sunday in December at 5:00 PM. This festive community tradition begins in Jonesville at 200 South Bridge Street and continues through downtown before concluding at Elkin High School. Bring your family and friends to enjoy holiday floats, music, and seasonal cheer along the parade route.

Join us at Dobson Square Park for the Town of Dobson Christmas Tree Lighting celebration. Festivities begin at 5:00 PM with a visit from Santa Claus, followed by a performance from the Surry Central Chorus from 6:00–6:30 PM. The evening will conclude with the official Christmas Tree Lighting at 6:30 PM. Bring your family and friends to enjoy this festive community tradition at 11 S. Crutchfield St., Dobson, NC.

The Dobson Christmas Parade will take place on December 6, 2025, beginning at 2:00 PM. The parade starts at Surry Community College and travels along Main Street in Dobson, NC 27017. Join the community for an afternoon of festive floats, holiday spirit, and seasonal celebration in downtown Dobson.
