Mount Airy Blooms
Event
Mount Airy's three garden clubs — Garden Gate, Modern Gardeners and Mountain View — come together to present Mount Airy Blooms, a tour of private gardens all within a few miles of beautiful downtown Mount Airy. Attendees will see successful garden practices at homes varying from a cottage on the corner to a mini-estate.
Master Gardener volunteers will be available during the tour to answer gardening questions. They will also provide educational exhibits and demonstrations sharing the latest research-based information for home gardeners. Examples of demo topics include: the edible landscape, gardening with native plants, herbs, spotted lantern fly, therapeutic gardening.
Tour proceeds benefit the Woltz Hospice Home rose garden, the grounds at the historic William Alfred Moore House, the Main Street mini-garden fountain, and the exceptional children’s class at Jones Intermediate School.
Tickets are $20. The tour is self-guided. Those who purchase tickets online will receive a tour map by email two days before the event. Tickets are also available at the Mount Airy Visitors Center, 200 N. Main St. To purchase tickets online, click here.
