Good food, agriculture and bluegrass pickin' are staples in Surry County. This summer and fall, the three regional hallmarks come together with the Music at the Market concert series on Friday evenings at Dobson Farmers Market.
The first installment features Steve Marshall and Highroad. The traditional bluegrass group blends top-level instrumental skills with smooth harmony for some of the finest performances in the region.
Food trucks for the evening are BJ's Fry Shack, My Kitchen (burgers, wraps and more), and Station 1978 Firehouse Peanuts.
Food trucks begin serving at 6 p.m., and bluegrass pickin' starts at 7 p.m. Admission is free. Lawn chairs encouraged.
