Meet with a park ranger to learn the slimy lifestyle of the salamanders that call Pilot Mountain State Park home. The event will start at the park office. Everyone will learn about the salamander life cycle and how to properly handle these amazing creatures. Activities around the park will introduce visitors to the species, and then a 1.5-mile hike will explore some salamander habitat.
