The Yadkin Valley Pumpkin Festival is held in Historic Downtown Elkin on the 4th Saturday in September from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. The Main Street of Elkin will be filled with live music, and vendors of every description featuring everything from antiques, jump houses, and funnel cakes to functional pottery, pumpkin painting, wood furnishings, wine racks, BBQ, baked goods, sand art, pumpkin butter, polish sausages, handcrafted gifts and so much more.

The Elkin Cruise-In happens on the 4th Sunday of each month (March–November, excluding July) from 2PM–5PM at the Yadkin Valley Heritage & Trails Center.

Are you looking for more Ghosts?  Don't miss the Pilot Mountain Ghost Tours held the first Friday of every month May through October. This 60-minute tour will lead guests through Downtown Pilot Mountain where you will hear stories of murder, aliens, and maybe even bigfoot! The tour begins at The Grove Teas and Botanical Gifts located at 127 W. Main Street in Pilot Mountain at 8pm. Wear comfortable shoes and bring your camera and umbrella, if needed.
