Follow the Vintage: Cellaring & Fermentation
Event
For those looking to take their wine knowledge to the next level, this four-class series called Follow the Vintage traces the art and science of winemaking from the beginning of a vintage to the end.
Ethan Brown, a Surry County native, became winemaker in 2018 at Shelton Vineyards, the largest family-owned estate winery in North Carolina. Brown is a graduate of the winemaking school at nearby Surry Community College. Winery founders Ed and Charlie Shelton helped establish that program years ago after they opened their winery and had to search elsewhere for winemaking talent.
Each class includes a delicious food-and-wine pairing, as well as an interactive wine experience that relates to the topic of the class. This session, the fourth in the series, will focus on cellaring and fermentation.
Each class is $75, plus tax, per person. Click here to reserve your spot.
