The Martha Bassett Show - Becca Stevens, Jeff Black, Joe Thrift
Event
Becca Stevens is a North Carolina-bred, Brooklyn-based artist who defies musical stereotypes. Her latest album, "Wonderbloom," has a groove-heavy, dance-ready sound infused with pop, funk, and R&B.
Jeff Black was recognized by Chicago public radio as one of the top 100 most important folk artists of the past 25 years. Black's songs have earned Grammy recognition, radio chart-topping stats and numerous BMI awards.
Joe Thrift is a master luthier and old-time music enthusiast, who learned techniques and tunes from Tommy Jarrell.
The Martha Bassett Show is modeled on old-time radio shows with a hint of the modern. It draws on influences from far and wide, but maintains the distinct feel and flair of North Carolina's Piedmont region. Host Martha Bassett has been making music in NC and beyond for more than 20 years.
