The annual Pilot Mountain Christmas tree lighting and Christmas parade are held the first Saturday in December.
The tree lighting ceremony begins at 5:30 p.m. The NC Honors Chorus and its alumni will perform carols. Winners of the downtown window decorating contest will be announced.
Immediately following the tree lighting, the Christmas parade will head down Main Street. The parade includes dancers, horses, cheerleaders, marching bands, floats, antique cars and tractors, fire trucks and more.
