The Vineyard Stomp series is a four-race series for runners of all levels and abilities. These cross-country runs are entirely on dirt or grass trails that lead in and around vineyards. Each of the four races is approximately 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) in length.
Because races take place in vineyards, the terrain is varied and can include hills and uneven surfaces, making the course both challenging and fun.
Additional Surry County Vineyard Stomp series races are: Pre-Harvest Run at Round Peak Vineyards (Aug. 13); Haunted Run at Golden Road Vineyards (Oct. 21); and the Jingle Jog at Serre Vineyards (Dec. 9).
