New to downtown Pilot Mountain is a shabby-chic wedding venue catering to those brides and grooms who don't want their big day to feel like any old wedding.
Formerly known as Dr. Flippin's Bed and Breakfast, the estate now includes the former bed and breakfast, the former home of Powell Ephriam Simmons, and the former Pilot Mountain Primitive Baptist Church—all within the same block, creating a new wedding destination—Vintage Rose Wedding Estate.
Currently under renovation, the chapel will double as a reception hall or the grounds can be used as a reception area. The former home of Powell Ephriam Simmons, who owned a large clothing store in town, has been renovated to become the grand parlour—where dinners, parties, and showers can be held and serves as a venue for the bridal parties to get ready for the wedding. The chapel will hold 100 guests along with 75 in the grand parlour.
Vintage Rose Wedding Estate is already booking for 2015 weddings and is sure to be a featured destination wedding venue for the Yadkin Valley. For more information, visit www.vintageroseweddingestate.com.
