Kazoku Sushi and Bar

Kazoku means family in Korean and Japanese. It’s an appropriate name for this family-run restaurant in downtown Mount Airy. The service is warm and welcoming, and the fresh food is skillfully prepared. A remodeled interior blends modern design elements, such as bold colors, with repurposed materials. Bricks from the building’s original exterior form the sushi bar, and old wooden doors serve as dining tables.

The sushi menu includes sashimi, nigiri and a creative lineup of rolls. High-quality seafood and an experienced chef combine for sushi that is equivalent to what is found in much larger cities. The hibachi menu offers a variety of vegetable and protein choices.

A full bar serves specialty cocktails, beer and wine, including local labels produced in the surrounding Yadkin Valley. Wines are half-off on Wednesdays.
