Sauratown Trail

The Sauratown Trail is a 25-mile bridle and hiking trail that connects Pilot Mountain State Park on the west and Hanging Rock State Park on the east side. It is an official section of the North Carolina Mountains-to-Sea Trail and maintained by the Sauratown Trails Association. The trail may be used by all horseback riders and hikers for most of the year, except for deer hunting season (mid-Nov. to mid-Dec.). Bikes or motorized vehicles not allowed.
