You are warmly invited to spend Independence Day in Downtown Mount Airy by attending the annual Fourth of July Parade and Celebration, taking place on Friday, July 4th. This community event offers a meaningful way to celebrate our nation. This community event offers a meaningful way to honor our nation’s founding and gather in patriotic spirit.
The celebration will commence with a public reading of the Declaration of Independence, hosted at the Mount Airy Museum of Regional History. This ceremonial reading serves as a powerful reminder of the values upon which our country was built.
We encourage residents, visitors, families, and friends to come together for this special occasion in the heart of our historic downtown district. Whether you are a long-time member of the community or simply passing through, this event is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on our shared heritage and enjoy a vibrant local tradition.
