Grassy Creek Winery 'Topping Out' Party
Event
Experience one of the Yadkin Valley's more established wineries as Grassy Creek Vineyard & Winery hosts a special 'topping out' celebration.
Although the winery opened in 2005 on the former Chatham family estate, owners Jim and Cynthia Douthit always lamented the missing weather vane atop the Red Barn Tasting Room.
Recently at a charity auction, the Douthits spotted a vintage weather vane and decided it was time to put the finishing touch on the tasting room with a celebration.
The celebration includes live music from singer/songwriter Luke Mears, as well as complimentary barbecue sandwiches from Terry's Cafe (while supplies last).
The event runs from 12:30-4:30 p.m., with the weather vane 'topping out' installation taking place at 1:30 p.m.
There is no charge for admission.
