Historic Mount Airy Ghost Tours

Back by popular demand, the Historic Mount Airy Ghost Tours return for another season. Tours take place on Friday and Saturday evenings, mid-May through mid-November.

The 90-minute, lantern-lit walking tour wanders through Mount Airy's downtown streets, tracing stories from the town's past. Attendees hear stories about 13 of the town's "less mortal" friends and some of their resting places.

Stories blend entertainment and history, but please remember that ghosts are sometimes associated with traumatic circumstances.

Tours begin at the Mount Airy Museum of Regional History, 301 N. Main Street. Wear comfortable shoes and bring your camera and umbrella, if needed. Tickets are $20 (tax included) and pre-paid reservations are required. This is a walking tour, but all areas are handicap accessible. The tour is not recommended for extremely young children or people who require a walker.

For reservations or additional information, call the museum at 336-786-4478. Reservations can also be made online; click here to do so.
