The Martha Bassett Show - Laura Cantrell & Bombadil

Country singer Laura Cantrell has balanced different aspects of her music life over the course of a 20-plus-year career, whether as a recording artist, radio host, writer or working parent of a high-school-age musician. Cantrell is well known as a recording artist with a devoted following in the US and UK; as the host of "Dark Horse Radio" devoted to George Harrison on SiriusXM's The Beatles Channel; and as a performer curating "States of Country," her monthly live series exploring regional diversity in country music.

Bombadil is a folk-pop group based in North Carolina and France. The band has continually put out high-quality art since the early 2000s.

The Martha Bassett Show is modeled on old-time radio shows with a hint of the modern. It draws on influences from far and wide, but maintains the distinct feel and flair of North Carolina's Piedmont region. Host Martha Bassett has been making music in NC and beyond for more than 20 years.
