Oktoberfest
Event
The inaugural Oktoberfest at Miss Angels Farm promises live music, authentic German food and beer, farm-fresh fruit and plenty of fun. Miss Angels pick-your-own orchard will be open for selecting your own peaches and apples straight from the tree, and hayrides and corn mazes round out the farm activities. In addition to German beer, hard cider and wine will also be available. Mickey Galyean & Cullens Bridge will perform from noon to 3 p.m., and Apple Pie String Band will take the stage from 3-5:30 p.m.
At 6:30 p.m., the Spooktoberfest Zombie Race takes place. The 5K trail run raises money for charity. Male and female winners receive cash prizes. Watch out for the zombies hiding in the woods throughout the course! All proceeds benefit Surry Medical Ministries. There will be an Oktoberfest after party following the race.
Festival admission is $6 a person. Race registration includes admission to the festival. To sign up for the race, go to https://spooktoberfestrun.itsyourrace.com/event.aspx?id=7522.
