Merry-Go-Round

Every Saturday morning since 1948, WPAQ has aired Merry-Go-Round, a live radio broadcast of old-time, bluegrass and gospel music. It is the second longest running live radio program in the nation, behind only the Grand Ole Opry. The jam sessions are in the historic Earle Theatre and through the years have hosted regional and national music legends like Tommy Jarrell, Benton Flippen, the Carter Family, Lester Flatt, Earl Scruggs, and Bill & Charlie Monroe.
