Snappy Lunch is a Mount Airy institution since 1923 and home of the world famous pork chop sandwich. It is the oldest eating establishment in Mount Airy and was a favorite spot for a young Andy Griffith, who later mentioned it on his classic TV show.

Most people who visit order the pork chop sandwich, a messy delicacy that includes chili, tomato, ketchup, mustard and onions. Snappy Lunch is open six days a week for breakfast and lunch only.
