Enjoy a celebration of all things Mayberry in Andy Griffith's hometown of Mount Airy, North Carolina.

Mayberry Days is a collection of events, activities and performances taking place throughout the town from Sept. 21-27. Everything is geared toward fans of The Andy Griffith Show who long for the days when life was simple and the sheriff didn't carry a gun.

The format has changed in 2020 because of COVID-19. Many of the contests will be moved outside to the Blackmon Amphitheater and some of the larger indoor gatherings will not take place this year. It is unlikely that any actors from the show will travel to Mount Airy to make their usual appearances.

All attendees are required to wear masks and daily entrance to the Andy Griffith Museum will be reduced to 50% capacity per state mandate.

Mayberry Days officials are working to offer as much as possible, while maintaining a safe environment and following all local, state and federal guidelines. Some things may be in flux until the middle of September.

For an updated list of events and activities, visit www.MayberryDays.com. Information is also available by calling the Surry Arts Council at 336.786.7998 (Mon-Fri 9 am to 5 pm).
