Mayberry Days is a multi-day celebration (Sept. 23-29) for the whole family with activities and events for fans of The Andy Griffith Show who long for the days when life was simple and the sheriff didn't carry a gun.

The lineup for this year's 30th annual celebration will once again features special guests from the show. Regular participants include Betty Lynn (Thelma Lou), Maggie Mancuso (Charlene Darling) and Karen Knotts, daughter of Don Knotts (Barney Fife). Clint Howard, Ron Howard's brother who played Leon, is another regular, along with Ronnie Schell, who appeared in two episodes and also starred as Duke Slater on Gomer Pyle, USMC.

Mayberry Days events take place in locations around Mount Airy, with the Andy Griffith Playhouse, Historic Earle Theater and Blackmon Amphitheatre being the hubs of activity. Some events are free and others are ticketed. Those wishing to attend the ticketed events are encouraged to purchase tickets well in advance as they often sell out. Most everything is within walking distance and there is free parking in numerous municipal lots downtown. Events are scheduled for minimal overlap so folks can enjoy as much as possible.
