The Mount Airy Museum of Regional History invites local schools to participate in “Voices for Freedom,” a special free program celebrating the 250th anniversary of America’s founding. Taking place April 6–10 from 10AM to 5PM, students will have the opportunity to meet historical figures from American history, explore the museum, and learn about the ideals that shaped the United States.
Participants will also write their own Declaration, with one student selected to read theirs at the Museum’s July 4th Declaration of Independence ceremony. The program will be held at the Mount Airy Museum of Regional History, located at 301 N. Main St in Mount Airy.
