The course traverses hilly terrain and is a treat to play, with plenty of room to hit the ball off the tee and increasingly difficulty as you approach the greens.

Hanging Rock State Park is located 25 miles east of the town of Pilot Mountain and is connected to Pilot Mountain State Park by the Sauratown Trail. It is home to five waterfalls.
