Delayed Harvest Trout Fishing, Mitchell River

Mitchell River Delayed Harvest Trout Fishing

The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission's delayed harvest is a popular program in which certain waters are stocked with rainbow, brook and brown trout in spring and fall. Anglers are only allowed to harvest (keep) their catches from early June through September, thus creating better fishing conditions throughout the year. Delayed harvest fishing is available in the Mitchell River near Kapps Mill along River Road.
