The Dairy Center is a tradition in Mount Airy dating back to 1954. The best selling item is the ground steak sandwich, made up of ground beef seasoned with salt and pepper and cooked with flour to hold it together. It’s served on a bun with tomato, slaw and mayo.

The eatery is also known for tasty burgers, hot dogs and ice cream.
